Azure spend is rising and nobody can explain why
Usage, configuration and commercial factors are tangled together and the bill just keeps climbing.
Enterprise engineering
Kritical assesses and engineers Azure environments alongside the systems they connect to. Start with a migration, a configuration problem, or a need for clearer control over access, cost and operation, and get a written scope before anything moves.

Usage, configuration and commercial factors are tangled together and the bill just keeps climbing.
A previous consultant or a departed engineer left a design nobody else fully understands.
The first attempt stalled, or leadership wants it done to a framework, not ad hoc.
An assessment examines subscriptions, resources, access, connectivity and the services that depend on them, tying resource use to workload ownership and business requirements. Cost investigation distinguishes usage, configuration and commercial factors rather than assuming a single change will reduce every bill or preserve every performance requirement. Where ownership is unclear, we record that gap explicitly before changing resources that may support an undocumented business process or integration.

We choose an architecture around application needs, data flows, availability and recovery requirements, not around whatever the last consultant defaulted to.
Kritical can begin with workload discovery and migration, landing-zone and governance design, cost and control review, Azure Virtual Desktop, Microsoft Sentinel integration, AI Foundry or another governed AI workload, or a hybrid and private-cloud decision. The Cloud Adoption Framework and Well-Architected Framework provide decision structures; your workload and operating model determine the actual design.
Assess dependencies, target architecture, identity, network, policy, management and the sequence for one workload.
Scope user groups, applications, profiles, identity, devices, network, capacity and support before selecting a desktop design.
Define data sources, use cases, retention, alert ownership, investigation and response responsibilities before onboarding.
Select a bounded use case, data and security boundary, evaluation plan, integration, cost model and operating owner.
Implementation is quoted in writing and can include infrastructure configuration, migration or targeted remediation, with repeatable deployment and validation scoped alongside access controls and change approval where automation is appropriate. Handover can include resource records, monitoring, recovery procedures, budget assumptions and configuration details. We agree who receives cost alerts, who approves extra consumption and who handles incidents, and your proposal separates the project from Azure consumption, licences, third-party services and any ongoing support.
We confirm the workload, the cost or configuration question, and what access we'd need to assess it.
Send the systems and constraints involved and we quote the work, not just a licence.
These links explain the vendor platforms. Kritical turns that information into a practical scope for your environment, including what we deliver and what your team owns.

Yes. Access, available documentation and the questions to answer define the assessment. Findings can lead to a separate remediation scope.
We can scope analysis of billing and resource use, identify likely drivers and assess changes. Savings depend on the workload and commercial arrangements.
Yes. The scope should include identity, networking, data and recovery dependencies between Azure and the connected systems.
Entra ID, Conditional Access and permissions management are usually part of the identity and access design, priced as part of the same scope rather than a separate afterthought.
Yes. Hybrid connectivity, identity and recovery dependencies between Azure and your on-premises environment are part of the same assessment.
