Enterprise engineering

Build infrastructure around the service it has to sustain.

Kritical works across data centres, virtualisation, operating systems, networks and recovery. We connect individual platform decisions to the performance, resilience and operating requirements of the complete service, rather than treating each platform as its own island.

Find the platform work you need, or bring us a problem that crosses several.

Choose a starting point below, or describe the problem as it presents. The engagement can cover a defined component while making its interfaces with the rest of the environment explicit.

Three situations bring teams to this page.

Recurring incidents that never quite get root-caused

The pattern keeps repeating across what look like unrelated components.

A resilience claim that's never been tested

Redundant components exist on paper; nobody's proven they fail over independently.

Several infrastructure teams, no shared picture of the dependencies between them

Facilities, virtualisation, networking and applications each see their own slice.

What you get: the current state and its failure modes, mapped honestly.

An infrastructure assessment captures what's deployed, what depends on it and how it's operated. We review capacity, lifecycle, monitoring and the paths a failure could take through the environment, distinguishing a design weakness from an operational gap so the next step addresses the actual constraint.

Why Kritical for cross-platform resilience.

A change may involve a refresh, consolidation, migration or targeted remediation.

  • Resilience measured by shared dependency, not component count Duplicate hardware doesn't help if it still depends on the one thing that fails. We check what keeps running during a failure, not just what's redundant on the diagram.
  • Options compared on the same basis Delivery effort, operating effort, licensing and risk, compared consistently rather than whichever option was pitched first.
  • Continuity planned around your account We aim to provide continuity through a consistent lead or delivery group where the agreed scope and service model support it. Your proposal sets out the contact model, cover and handover arrangements that apply.

How it's priced, and what handover looks like.

A scoped assessment or change is quoted in writing before work starts. The scope can include sequencing, change windows, recovery arrangements and tests of agreed scenarios. Handover explains what changed, how the platform is operated and what remains unresolved, with responsibility for monitoring, maintenance and support agreed so project completion leads into a workable operating model.

Questions before you enquire

Can you work across several infrastructure teams?

Yes. We can scope a cross-platform workstream with named interfaces and responsibilities for internal teams and suppliers.

Do we need to replace the environment?

Not necessarily. An assessment can distinguish changes that need investment from configuration, process or lifecycle work on the existing platform.

Can you help with capacity or recurring incidents?

Yes. Provide the affected services and available evidence. The scope can establish a baseline, investigate dependencies and identify the next practical change.

How is this different from engaging each platform team separately?

The proposal sets out who coordinates the dependency map and records the cover and handover arrangements across the relevant platforms. Changes are checked against those dependencies rather than assumed safe.

Can you test our disaster-recovery assumptions as part of this?

Yes, where recovery is one of the dependencies in scope. A dedicated recovery exercise can also be scoped on its own.

How is a resilience assessment different from a general infrastructure health check?

A health check looks at whether components are healthy today. A resilience assessment traces what happens when one of them fails, and whether the rest of the system keeps the business service running.

Can this cover facilities as well as the technical platforms?

Yes, where facilities dependencies such as power and cooling affect the resilience picture. Licensed electrical, mechanical and fire work stays with the appropriately qualified contractor.

Let’s define the next step.
