Networks, servers & storage for homes and organisations

Price the infrastructure, including everything it depends on.

A server, storage array or network switch chosen in isolation creates an expensive constraint six months later. Kritical connects the specification to the wider system — power, connectivity, redundancy and support — so you can buy and change infrastructure with confidence, not hope.

Infrastructure team working in a data centre

Three situations that bring people here.

You do not need a finished design to start a conversation.

  • Unreliable office connectivity The internet or internal network is flaky enough that it is costing real productivity, and nobody has diagnosed why.
  • A server or storage refresh Equipment is ageing out of support and you need a replacement sized to the actual workload, not the loudest sales pitch.
  • Remote and home-based staff People working from home need a network foundation that is reliable.

What to include in your enquiry.

A short description is enough to start. Include a model or existing quote if you have one.

  • Infrastructure requirements Include capacity, connectivity, redundancy, environmental limits and expected growth.
  • Licensing & support Separate hardware, software entitlements, manufacturer support and implementation in the quote.
  • Installation planning Identify power, rack space, network paths, access windows and change responsibilities.

Connectivity work we can scope clearly.

Start with the outcome and the current constraint. We confirm the investigation, equipment and implementation scope before quoting it.

Office internet fault investigation

A bounded investigation can test why office internet is unreliable and record the evidence needed for the next decision.

Home network foundation

Choose a desk, table or ceiling-mounted approach after coverage, cabling and equipment constraints are checked.

Additional coverage point

Add a coverage point only after the survey or investigation shows that placement and capacity will address the dead zone.

Network capacity expansion

Upgrade switching capacity when measurement shows that the current switch is the constraint.

Gateway resilience

Scope a standby gateway and failover path where the business requirement justifies the added resilience.

Keep supply and services clear.

Your quote will distinguish the goods or licences from configuration, migration, delivery and ongoing support. We confirm availability and any substitutions before an order is agreed.

Newcastle industrial and infrastructure context

Compute

Size and place the workloads that need dependable processing capacity.

Network

Connect users, systems, sites and services with understandable boundaries.

Storage

Match capacity, performance, protection and recovery to the information being held.

Power & support

Include the facilities, monitoring, maintenance and ownership needed to keep the platform useful.

Why price infrastructure through Kritical.

Connectivity and infrastructure problems rarely stay inside one box, so a quote that only covers the box is an incomplete answer.

We diagnose before we quote hardware

Where the cause is not obvious, we investigate first, so you are not replacing a switch that was never the problem.

Continuity planned around your account

We aim to provide continuity through a consistent lead or delivery group where the agreed scope and service model support it. Your proposal sets out the contact model, cover and handover arrangements that apply.

What happens once we have your infrastructure requirement.

Connectivity and infrastructure work rarely fits a single call, so here is what to expect once you get in touch.

The first call

A conversation about capacity, dependencies and constraints — sometimes this shows the real fix is smaller than the original ask.

A scoped quote in writing

Hardware, licensing, installation and support priced and shown separately, so nothing is assumed on your behalf.

The agreed first phase

A named lead coordinates installation, testing and handover under the agreed scope. Cover is identified and responsibility transfers through a recorded handover if personnel change.

Send us the requirement.

Tell us the quantity, location, timing and the result you need. If the specification is still uncertain, say what it needs to do and what it must work with, and expect a scoped response.

Questions before you enquire

Can you work from our existing specification?

Yes. Send the model or specification, required capacity and the systems it must connect to. We identify any proposed substitutions and their implications for your review.

Can you help size a server or storage upgrade?

Describe the applications, current capacity and expected growth. A scoped assessment can establish the requirement before equipment is selected.

Can installation be included?

Yes, where agreed in the quote. We clarify site access, rack space, power, connectivity, migration and testing, including work that needs another provider.

Our office wifi drops out constantly. Where do we even start?

Start with a bounded office internet fault investigation. The agreed scope tests the gateway, switching, wifi coverage and connection path, then records what was established and what still needs investigation.

Is a home network foundation really necessary for one remote worker?

If that person's connection keeps dropping calls or interrupting work, a scoped home-network assessment can be worthwhile. We confirm the suitable layout and current price after checking the location and equipment.

Can you help us plan a whole-office refresh, not just one item?

Yes. We can scope network, server and storage changes together, so decisions in one area do not quietly create a problem in another a few months later.

Do you support equipment from a manufacturer we already standardise on?

We confirm compatibility and support for the named manufacturer and model before proposing anything new.
